WGCS Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) Agreement & Policy
WGCS Policy for Tuition Payments from ESTF
This policy outlines the steps for enrolling in WGCS payment plans using ESTF funding. This information is for families that have already received admissions acceptance from WGCS and are preapproved for funding by ESTF at sc-estf-program.com.
1. WGCS Enrollment Process:
- Complete the WGCS enrollment process through FACTS. (This link was provided to the family by the WGCS Admissions office in the acceptance email.)
- Pay the required WGCS enrollment fee upfront. Note that ESTF funding cannot be used for the enrollment fee and this fee is non-refundable.
- After paying the enrollment fee in FACTS, families should select a payment plan that suits their needs.
- Families complete the WGCS Notification and Agreement Policy for ESTF form (at the bottom of this page) to let WGCS know that the preapproved ESTF funding will be used for a portion of their tuition payments.
2. Payment Plans:
Once the payment plan is chosen, WGCS Financial Office can finalize the plan in FACTS and an email confirmation will be sent from FACTS to the family. The FACTS portal requires some time to finalize the process; once this is complete, the WGCS Financial Office will have to manually adjust the plan to create the two payment accounts mentioned below. Families will receive another confirmation email from FACTS once this is complete. At that point, families can log into their FACTS account to print a tuition statement for submission to ESTF. Going forward, the family will need to submit an invoice to ESTF each quarter. It is the responsibility of the family to do this promptly to ensure timely quarterly payments by the 5th of each quarter (July, October, January, and April).
Two payment plans will be established in FACTS:
- Plan 1: A total of $2,992 or $3,685 (depending on grade level of the student) to be charged to the parents’ bank account or credit card on file for their chosen FACTS payment plan.
- Plan 2: A total of $7,634 to be charged to an invoice plan in FACTS covered by ESTF. Please note that it is the family’s responsibility to submit ESTF requests promptly so that funds are transferred to WGCS by the payment deadline.
3. Unpaid ESTF Amounts:
- Be aware that any amount not transferred to WGCS in ClassWallet by the 5th of each quarter (July, October, January, & April) will be transferred to the parents’ FACTS account and will be added to their ongoing payment plan.
By adhering to these guidelines, families can ensure a smooth payment process while utilizing ESTF funding.
5. Testing Requirements
South Carolina’s Education Scholarship Trust Fund (ESTF) requires students in grades 3–12 to complete annual standardized testing in reading and mathematics to renew their scholarship. Families must submit approved summative, interim, or college readiness test scores directly to the South Carolina Department of Education. Because of this requirement, students who receive ESTF funding are required to attend school on WGCS’s standardized testing dates in the Spring. Please refer to our CALENDAR and mark these dates on your calendar. Failure to comply could result in loss of funding through the state.
5. Notification & Agreement
WGCS Notification and Agreement Policy for ESTF
Families must complete this form below (WGCS Notification and Agreement Policy for ESTF) to let WGCS know that the preapproved ESTF funding will be used for a portion of their tuition payments and that they understand the policy and procedure for all tuition payments.
