Some stories take years to unfold, and this spring, WGCS will celebrate a milestone nearly two decades in the making—the graduation of the first class to complete their entire K-12 journey in our current building.
For most students, senior year is a time of reflection—a look back at friendships, memories, and the ways they’ve grown. But for three members of the Class of 2025, their graduation carries an even deeper significance. Karis Hunt, Autumn Boyd, and Taylor Johnson were among the very first kindergarteners to step into this building when it opened. Now, they will walk across the stage as the first students to complete their entire WGCS education within these walls.
A Building, A Legacy
Moving into this building was a pivotal moment in Walnut Grove Christian School’s history. It wasn’t just about a new space—it was about growth, faith, and a vision for the future. Over the years, our school has evolved and expanded, yet the heart of WGCS has remained the same: a place where students are challenged academically, strengthened spiritually, and prepared for their future.

Then & Now
Looking back at photos from that kindergarten year, it’s amazing to see how much has changed—not just in these students, but in the school itself. Classrooms have been added, programs have grown, and opportunities for students have expanded in ways we couldn’t have imagined back then.
And yet, what remains unchanged is the commitment to faith, relationships, and excellence that WGCS was built on.
A Journey Worth Celebrating
As these students prepare to graduate, we celebrate not only their achievements but also the journey they’ve taken—a journey that mirrors the growth and transformation of Walnut Grove itself. They have witnessed firsthand what it means to be part of a school that continually strives for more, and now, they step forward as a living testament to WGCS’s mission.
To Karis, Autumn, and Taylor—and to the entire Class of 2025—we celebrate you, we honor your journey, and we can’t wait to see how God continues to lead you beyond these walls.
