Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer any financial aid or scholarships?
We understand that choosing a Christian education is both a spiritual and financial commitment, and every family’s situation is unique. While we do offer a very limited number of scholarships, these are carefully distributed based on need and available resources each year. We are also an ESTF (SC Education Scholarship Trust Fund) approved school and able to accept those scholarship funds.
We never want finances to be the only factor that keeps a family from considering our school. If affordability is your prohibitive concern, we encourage you to reach out and start a conversation with us. Our team is happy to listen, answer questions, and offer strategies (such as payment plans, ESTF, using your 529.) that might help your family.
Our goal is to partner with families who desire a Christ-centered education, and we are committed to walking alongside you as you explore your financial options.

We are not affiliated with a church. We are an independent, non-denominational, Christian mission school.

We do not offer bus transportation at this time. We do have small buses that help for field trips, sports practices, and transportation to athletic events.
Does the enrollment fee go toward tuition?
The enrollment fee is separate from the tuition. It consists of yearly fees such as materials, books, field trips, yearbook, testing, etc. Gathering these all up front prevents fees throughout the year and helps the school plan and budget appropriately.

We offer a variety of sports starting in 5th grade. See our athletic website HERE.
What about parental involvement?
We have an amazing Parent Involvement Team. You can learn more about the “PIT Crew” HERE.
When do applications open for the upcoming school year?
November for Kindergarten, December for grades 1-12, Acceptances begin in February. We continue to take applications throughout the year for open seats and waitpools.
Do you have a cell phone policy?
We have long had a policy prohibiting cell phone use (even prior to the state law prohibiting cell phone use in schools). We provide a lockbox for phones to be stored safely upon arrival and retrieved upon dismissal.
In the event of an emergency, students may use the phone at the front office desk to contact a parent.
We believe this policy has contributed significantly to the positive interpersonal soft skills we observe in our students.
How does lunch work?
Most students bring their lunch from home with an ice pack. Families also have the opportunity to sign up for a hot lunch with My Hot Lunchbox.
Microwaves are provided in the cafeteria for student use.
What are the school’s safety procedures?
Safely is our #1 priority.
We have established clear safety procedures and protocols that are consistently practiced and reviewed, and our staff is trained to respond thoughtfully and quickly in a variety of situations. We also maintain strong relationships with local emergency services to ensure we are prepared and supported when needed.
Although we don’t publish our full safety plan online for security reasons, we are happy to discuss any specific concerns a parent has. Contact the school office to schedule an appointment.
What is your philosophy on technology?
We recognize that technology plays an important role in today’s world, and we want our students to develop a healthy, thoughtful understanding of how to use it well. Our goal is not to avoid technology, but to approach it with purpose and balance.
In the classroom, we prioritize direct instruction, meaningful discussion, and strong teacher-student relationships rather than relying on screens as the primary teaching tool. We have found that this approach supports deeper focus, stronger engagement, and lasting learning.
At the same time, technology is incorporated in intentional ways. Teachers have access to shared classroom sets of laptops that can be reserved when they enhance a lesson or support specific learning goals. This allows students to gain practical experience with technology while keeping it in its proper place as a tool rather than a constant presence.
Our aim is to help students grow not only in knowledge, but also in wisdom and discernment, equipping them to use technology responsibly and faithfully in every area of life.
If you have additional questions that are not covered here, we’d love to asnwer them. Please feel free to contact us.
