As another school year has come to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the many moments that made it special. While every year has its own unique stories, one thing remains constant: Walnut Grove Christian School is committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and relationally while creating memories that last a lifetime.

As another school year has come to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the many moments that made it special. While every year has its own unique stories, one thing remains constant: Walnut Grove Christian School is committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, and relationally while creating memories that last a lifetime.
The final weeks of the year were a wonderful picture of who we are as a school community.
For many students, that celebration came through Field Day. Laughter filled the campus as students competed, played, and enjoyed time together. It was a reminder that some of the most meaningful parts of childhood happen outside the classroom, building friendships and creating memories that students will carry with them for years to come.
For others, the year culminated in our Awards Ceremonies, where we celebrated the hard work, growth, and achievements of students across every grade level. These moments allow us to recognize not only academic success, but also character, perseverance, leadership, and the many ways our students strive for more.

And of course, we concluded the year with Graduation Commencement, as the Class of 2026 crossed the stage and stepped into the next chapter of their lives. It was a joyful and emotional celebration of a group of students who have left their mark on Walnut Grove and who now carry the lessons learned here into colleges, careers, and communities across the country.
As we reflected on the year, one note from a WGCS family captured so much of what we hope students experience during their time here. Their son joined us from Finland for the school year and recently shared this message as his family prepared to return home:
“Your school has exceeded all our expectations. What has felt especially unique to us is the warmth and kindness that fills the school every day, the way students are welcomed each morning, the safe and inspiring learning environment you have created, and the genuine feeling of being part of a family. From the very beginning, it has felt like a home away from home.”
The family went on to share how they watched their son’s confidence, motivation, friendships, and love of learning grow throughout the year.
As educators, there is no greater encouragement than hearing that a student leaves stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the future than when they arrived.
To our students, families, faculty, staff, volunteers, donors, and supporters: thank you for making this such a memorable year. Walnut Grove is special because of the people who make up this community.
We hope you have a wonderful summer, and we look forward to all that God has in store for the year ahead.
