“Forward Together”
Walnut Grove Fundraiser & Packing Event
It’s Not Too Late to Get Involved
If your family hasn’t signed up yet, there’s still time! Whether you’re volunteering at the event, donating toward your student’s goal, or simply cheering them on, we’re grateful for every bit of participation. This is a chance for our students to be difference-makers — in the lives of others and right here in their own school.
What Are We Raising Funds For?
All funds raised will directly benefit Walnut Grove through several key initiatives:
- Purchasing a new school bus
- Enhancing our campus security system to provide full interior and exterior coverage
- Upgrading and improving essential school facilities
- Supporting and retaining our exceptional teachers and staff
Walnut Grove Fundraiser & Packing Event
Coming Thursday, April 17 Packing 10,000 Meals for Families in Need
Our school community will come together to pack 10,000 meals in partnership with Meals of Hope, a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity across the United States. Since 2007, Meals of Hope has distributed over 100 million meals to communities across the nation. On Thursday, we’ll add 10,000 more — packed by our students, families, and staff to bless real families facing real hunger right here in our region. The impact is immediate and lasting.
Why This Matters
According to the USDA, over 34 million people in the U.S. are food insecure, including more than 9 million children. Food insecurity exists in every county across the country. Our participation in this event allows us to take tangible action in response to this overwhelming need — showing the love of Christ through service, compassion, and community.
A Fundraiser with Purpose — and Heart
This year, our school fundraiser looks a little different. Instead of a traditional walk-a-thon, our students are engaging in a meaningful, hands-on event: packing meals for families in need. While they serve others through their time and effort, they’re also raising funds to support the mission and future of Walnut Grove.
