Every year, within the first few weeks of school, we take all of our high school students on a retreat. This year, our High School Retreat is at Crowders Ridge Camp and it’s taking place right now, August 21 & 22.
The camp is special because it allows our students, teachers, and administration to create connections that propels success through the remainder of the year. Not only that, but it’s also a lot of fun — something we value as an organization.
At this year’s overnight camp, students have the opportunity to:
Worship & Hear from an Inspirational Speaker
We bring in a band and speaker to, first and foremost, help students to begin their year focused on Jesus and the central role God plays in all we do.
Participate in Team Building Games
Our games are fun, but they play a larger strategic role for what we’re trying to accomplish at camp. The games help our students learn to work together, to solve problems, and to create connection with one another.

Adventure Sports
Crowder’s Camp has a pamper pole and a high swing which allows students to overcome their fears while having fun participating in activities that aren’t available in everyday life.

Lake Time & Free Time
Students also get the opportunity to play in the lake — with slides, zip lines, high-jump platform, lily pads, tubes, and more. When they’re not in the lake, they can play basketball, volleyball, or just hang out. These down-time opportunities to just “hang out” provide students with a chance to build authentic relationships outside of the structured environment of school.

Ultimately, the entire point of the Retreat is to reinforce our 4 Pillars: Academics, Faith, Relationships, and Schedule. It also enhances our student’s experience and accelerates the learning process for the remainder of the year.
Would you join us in praying that the foundations built over these two days would result in lifelong relationships and growth for all involved?
