Fall at WGCS: A Season of Growth & Achievement | Walnut Grove Christian School

A Season of Activity and Growth

As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, Walnut Grove Christian School is alive with the energy of a busy fall season. Our students have returned from fall break, bringing with them stories of service, athletic achievements, and academic focus that continue to shape their experience at WGCS.

One group of students, fresh off a life-changing missions trip, is eager to share the impact of their time in Guatemala — we look forward to telling you more about that in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, our fall sports teams, including soccer and volleyball, recently celebrated their Senior Nights, a bittersweet moment as we honored the dedication and leadership of our senior athletes.

But it doesn’t stop there. As fall sports come to a close, the buzz of winter sports has already begun. Our gym is once again filled with the sound of basketballs bouncing. There’s a palpable excitement as students gear up for what promises to be an exciting winter season.

Amidst all the athletic activity, our students are also focused on their academics. Many of our upperclassmen recently took the PSAT and SAT, continuing to strive for excellence in their preparation for college. The commitment our students show both in the classroom and on the field is something we celebrate daily.

As we head into the fun and festive fall holiday season, we are reminded of the importance of balance — between activity and reflection, between work and play. At Walnut Grove, we believe that every season offers opportunities for growth. Whether it’s serving others in a different country, showing leadership on the sports field, or persevering through academic challenges, our students continue to strive for more in every area of their lives.

We encourage you to take a moment to celebrate these achievements alongside us. Let’s continue to pray for our students, teachers, and families as we enter this busy and exciting time of the year.

Thank you for being a part of the Walnut Grove Christian School family. We are grateful for your support and the role you play in making WGCS a place where students can grow, serve, and lead.
