Serving Locally & Globally with Purpose | Walnut Grove Christian School

One of the things that makes life at Walnut Grove distinct from other schools — public and even some Christian schools — is our commitment to being on mission and serving our community. Most years, students are invited to participate in a missions trip through the school. The last trip was to Guatemala and we’ve also served in places like Florida, the North Carolina Mountains, and more.

Additionally, students and families are encouraged to participate in local service projects. For example, the past several years we have participated in Operation Christmas Child. Last year alone, we packed over 300 shoeboxes for children around the world.

Our Beta Club, Student Council, and Bible Teachers also serve our local communities through projects such as clothing drives, food pantry stocking, and more.

The school’s four pillars are Academics, Relationships, Schedule, and Faith. We firmly believe that one of the ways we build relationships, as well as build our faith, is through serving together. It’s one of the many ways at Walnut Grove, we Strive for More.

Join us in celebrating the students, faculty, and families serving around the corner and around the world.
