Great news! Life at the Grove is abuzz with two exciting stories this week.
The first is our 25 year anniversary announcement.
That’s right, Walnut Grove Christian School is 25 years old!
First off, we are absolutely thrilled to share that Walnut Grove Christian School is celebrating its 25th year anniversary. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come since starting with just a few homeschool students in the Boyd’s home. Now, we stand proud as a thriving center of educational excellence in our community. We’ve been blessed to see the hand of God move in the lives of our students, staff, faculty, alumni, donors, supporters and other stakeholders guiding our journey from different locations to our current campus, which has recently expanded. All glory to God!
Throughout this school year, we’ll be commemorating the special connections we’ve formed over the past 25 years, as well as looking forward to the new connections yet to come. We’ve also unveiled our 25th Anniversary logo, which you’ll spot all around campus this year.

The other big topic at The Grove this week is the back-to-school prep that is happening.
As students and their families are undoubtedly making final preparations to wind down summer and get back in the groove next week, teachers are having meetings, preparing their classrooms, and making plans for student return.
It’s not unusual for school teachers to return a week before the students for meetings and preparation. But there is something unique about Walnut Grove’s teacher meetings: they are saturated with prayer and looking to God to guide the school year.
We care deeply about the educational wellbeing of your students. But educational preparation is only part of the equation. More important is the Christ-centered environment we seek to foster where students can flourish and grow beyond the books.
So, please know, our teachers are working diligently to prepare for the rigors of the upcoming academic year. That’s the job. They’re also preparing their hearts to bless your hearts. That’s their calling. We’re grateful to have some of the best and most Godly teachers on the planet.
