At Walnut Grove Christian School, we believe that faith and creativity go hand in hand. Whether it’s through academics, service, athletics, or the arts, our students continually find ways to express the gifts God has given them.
That’s why we are especially excited about an upcoming event that beautifully weaves together student creativity, faith, and community impact—our Spring Kickoff Event & Art Exhibit on Tuesday, March 25.
The Vision Behind the Art
This year’s art exhibit was initiated and coordinated by WGCS Junior, Sophia Cron, whose passion for the arts and faith inspired her to bring this idea to life. With the theme of “Seeing God in Everyday Life,” students of all ages have been encouraged to create artwork that reflects the ways they see God moving in their world—whether through nature, scripture, acts of kindness, or personal moments of faith.
Each piece in the exhibit serves as a visual reminder of God’s presence, inviting us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the unique ways He speaks to each of us. It’s not about perfection—it’s about expression, storytelling, and sharing how faith shapes our lives.
More Than Just an Art Show
While the art exhibit will be a highlight of the evening, the Spring Kickoff Event is about so much more. It’s a chance for our WGCS family to come together for:
🎶 Music from our Elementary students & High School Worship Team
🎭 Performance from the High School Drama Club
🍽️ Delicious food from It’s Worth It Catering
📢 An exciting announcement from Mr. Boyd—one where students will engage in meaningful service that benefits the less fortunate in our community.
🎁 Fun prizes and door prize drawings between 6:30-7:00 PM!
As we move into spring, this event is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the talents, generosity, and faith of our students. Whether through art, music, or acts of service, we are reminded that everything we do is for the glory of God.
We hope you’ll join us for this special evening! You can learn more and RSVP at walnutgrovechristianschool.com/kickoff
