Tamar Adams

He’s currently with Hoop Dreams NY based out of Huntington and other areas of Long Island.
Currently, Tamar provides weekly basketball training sessions for all ages. He’s also the assistant coach at Valley Stream Central High School for the boys varsity team. Previously, Tamar was the player development coach for Upper Room Christian School National and AA team.
Tamar works with many youth players and several highly recognized basketball programs in New York. He’s very passionate about teaching and improving the fundamentals and skill set of a player as well their personal, physical, mental, spiritual and emotional development. His training sessions are based on the details of the game where he is able to thoroughly assess and evaluate a player’s skill set and provide drills and techniques based on their needs. In addition, Tamar has an exercise science degree from CUNY-Lehman College where he offers individualized strength and conditioning training for middle school and high school players as well. Tamar also graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in Bayside NY, where he played and learned the game under head coach Ron Naclerio.

Dr. Eric Robinson
Coach Robinson has a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Columbia International University and an MA in Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary. His dissertation, where he explored work and calling from a missional perspective, will soon be published as a book. In addition to coaching cross-country, he teaches 6th-grade math and social studies at Walnut Grove. He is passionate about teaching, learning, and helping students grow into who God has called them to be. As a coach, a runner, and a student of the sport, he enjoys helping young athletes experience the joy of running and reach their fullest potential. He is married to his amazing wife, Letarshia. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with Letarshia, playing guitar, and photography. As a runner, he particularly enjoys trail running and racing and hopes to complete an ultra marathon.
